Union Flag Flag of Brittany

Hello!

A little about me

and my family . . .

The Brewertons

I was born in 1962 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England. I'm married to Pam and have 3 children - James, Faye and Katie. Pam is a Mum/Gardener/Painter and Decorator. The children are all teenages and older now than this picture. They're all musical - James with bass guitar, Faye with six-string guitar and Katie who plays Baritone Horn. James has been learning to fly and is hoping to soon clock up enough flying hours for his Private Pilot's license.

I'm a Chartered Engineer and Chartered IT Professional, having worked with Computer Systems since 1980. I currently work for Nestle, implementing a worldwide SAP systems solution. I'm based in York but work all over the country and with international colleagues.

I have done much geneological research and traced the my family (Brewerton) back to Oxfordshire in the 1600s. The origins of Brewerton are believed to be from Alain le Breton, a nobel from Brittany, who in 1066 helped William of Normandy take the English crown. If you don't recognise the flag it is the flag of Brittany, in northern France. Along the way I've come across lots of 'cousins' all across the globe. We now have a family CD with lots of international Brewerton family histories on it painstakingly complied by a dear cousin in Hawaii.

Other interests - photography, cycling, hill walking and necessary house/car maintenance due to stress testing from my kids! To 'give something back', I have been involved with the local Scouts Committee and 'served time' for 6 years as a School Governor - which is real hard work these days!

Thanks for having a look around and hope to meet you on the bands

David
